ABOUT ME
Back in the summer 2004, I was headed with a friend to attend my first Lampworking class in a small town in Tuscany. The day before starting the workshop, we reached the closest train station and had to wait for few hours before catching the next connection. During this time, we accidentally met a girl who was traveling the opposite way just after concluding her own Lampwork class. So we asked her to display her beads.
She took them out, and in that moment I had a totally unexpected emotional burst.
My incongruous and quite grotesque reaction wasn't indeed relating to the aesthetic impact of her work. I just had the strong and almost concrete impression that making beads out of molten glass must be a beautiful and unbelievable process. The sudden awareness that soon I'd be experiencing this, overtook my rational faculties.
After training and working with the torch for few years now, my perspective obviously changed and expanded. But sure enough I can say that it still feels so beautiful and unbelievable. :)

GIROTONDO - MY WORK
I am Italian, currently living and working in Poland. I am a Self Representing Artist: all of the beads I sell are exclusively made by me. They are properly annealed in a digitally controlled kiln, and the holes are thoroughly cleaned with a diamond drill.
I use Murano, Double Helix, Lauscha, Reichenbach and CIM glass.
